Semys consists of a library for group communication and an architecture to build a sequential consistent system.

The (portable) library is written in C, implementing the networking functions from simple client/server connections to group communication.

The architecture is available for C++ and .NET (experimentally for Java as well) and provides a basic framework for asynchronous message based communication for inter- and intraprocess exchange identically.

Combined they enable building a redundant process with transparent failover mechanisms.

Semys is available for linux/Unix and Windows, on both 32bit and 64bit architectures. The library comes with TCP/IPv4 and IPv6 transporter and is available for user specific extensions.
