This is really good software if you use C# or VB.Net. While the developers lean heavily towards C# support (It is written in C#) there is still plenty of help for VB. Most of the people who help are very friendly and very knowladgeable. It is also modular in the sense that you can add or create new languages for the Dot Net framework and use them inside the IDE.
Just keep in mind that it is an open source project, so there are bugs to found. So far however, I have had no major issues with the software. I have been using it for nearly a year and have no plans to do otherwise.

As a regular user of the Visual Studio IDE, I have to say this is an easy transition to a substitute. Code completion, form designing, most important features are all here.
