Another DOS extender option. I didn't test this for usefulness.
I doesn't look any more difficult to learn to use than Adam
Seychell's (sp?) Dos32 or Thomas Pytel/Charles Scheffold's
Pmode/w. How well it functions is another story. Full
documentation available. Comes with a tetris clone presumeably
made using the extender. No source.

DOS32a extender starstarstarstar   Posted by: Brian Reinhold on Thursday, April 04, 2002

Very good, very small, excellent DOS extender which has given me no problems at all. Much better than DOS4GW for WATCOM which iit is meant to replace. Its small size (26K) automatically bundles with your exceutable making your programs easy to run on any machine. Free for non commercial use, one time $500 fee for commercial license (last I knew). Supports VESA 2 standard and LFB. Comes with good documentation and examples. The only thing I don't know about it and wish I did was its handling of interrupts (the problem of switching modes). I don't know what happens if an interrupt is triggered while the system is in real or protected mode and the interrupt routine is in real or protected mode. Some extenders ALWAYS go to the protected mode handler engaging mode switches (possible interrupt loss) (Windows DPMI seems to do this) even if you have a bimodal interrupt handler.

Best features are its small size and binding with your program and VESA 2.0 LFB support and freeware license.
