is it possible to save information in pascal? when i say this i mean you enter in information into a string for example and then when you close the program and reopen it the name will still be there and stored in the program. is it possible to do this?

im bored and i like pascal. i was wondering if any of you guys could give me an idea of a program to make? not too easy and not too hard. iv already done the one where you enter in 10 numbers and it tells you the largest, smallest and so on. the program needs to use crt because thats all iv learnt so far. looking forward to replies :)

so i have this project for school to create a pascal program. i was thinking of making a calculator which can do stuff like cosine and all that stuff. like a scientific calculator. The program has to use crt because thats all weve learnt so far. im not an expert at pascal but i still understand some stuff like loops and menus and such. would the only way to make this be a menu saying stuff like 1) Plus, 2) Minus and so on? or is it possible to just enter in a whole line like 1+4 and then you get the answer? all i want is the basic layout of the program to start off with and then i can build it up.

: whole VGA character set, even to have 512 characters on hand. If you

what i want to try and do is cover up the password with *. for instance when you are entering in the password insteaded of seeing 'program' you would see '*******'. is it possible to do it with only using crt? i havent learnt anything else yet. im a noob at pascal.

this is my program:

wow! thanks! works great! exept for the end where it says "asm xor ax,ax;int 16h;end;" it said that the compile failed so i just changed to readln no biggy. i also learnt about the 6:4 thing. that helped alot! thanks :)
