How to do an automatic login? Posted by nakrami on 20 Oct 2003 at 1:33 PM
Hi,

I was wondering if anybody can can help me out here:

I have an app. that is supposed to be launched from an
online site. The app. is located on a different server and has a username and password to get into. Is there anyway for a seamless authentication (automatic login)
when we want to launch the app from the website.? I
mean is it possible to automatically validate the login
info and launch the app. by just having a link within
the website? so that the user doesn't have to enter the
username and password to get into the app.

I'd appreciate anybody's input.

Hi

Take a look at http://www.netomatix.com/ImpersonateUser.aspx
All the security calls will be in the System.Security.Principal namespace.
