if i have a file as below;

HD 100
DT1234
DT1234
DT2345
DT2345
DT2345
DT3344
DT3344
TR01

What should i do, if i want to fprint only DT1234 to another file.

I just wrote yesterday a function that searches subtring in string (which is pretty much hack .. hack stuff). That would do the trick when you add some file-processing stuff with it. But it's in my homecomputer and I'm at work now and I'm going to weekend holiday straigth from here. I can get it to you on monday if nobody else have answered until that.
