Designer("System.Windows.Forms.Design.ControlDesigner, System.Design") Posted by rosamir on 21 Nov 2009 at 11:28 PM
Hi
I noticed some ContainerControls decorated by the following attribute:
Designer("System.Windows.Forms.Design.ControlDesigner, System.Design").
In order to try and better understand its usage I wrote my own ContainerControl / Control and I decorated it with the attribute as written above.
I understand that the Designer attribute extends the design mode behavior of this control and I saw minor changes in the designer behavior but I want to fully understand when and how to use it.
I'll apreciate if someone will be able to detail the designer behavior when decorating custom control with the attribute and its parameter (System.Windows.Forms.Design.ControlDesigner, System.Design) as written above (default behavior etc).
Thanks,
Amir
