I'm interested in finding out more about internet search engines and how it works can anybody tell me where to find out how the more technical side of internet search engines work.

I'm interested in writing a internet search engine like google for my own amusement.

I will appreciate any feedback on this topic.

I am also working on a search engine. i am try to build a search engine using Microsoft.net framework. i also uploaded a beta1.0 ver. you can check it and go to site map option and use my xml webservices.
but this is online till date 8 Sept 2005. because it is on testing serevr. please take a look here and give me your valuable feedback.
one morething i would like to let you know pls do search something relatd to information technology because lack of resources i don't have much data on my server.
