I was wondering what language I would use to code an mp3 players os that would go onto a hard drive mp3 player and how i would get started. Any help would be appreciated.

Its wise to use C++ in case you might want to port your OS onto devices with independant processors. Im developing an OS for a phone and will use C++ to keep flexible. I iwll use assembly for the kernel and vigorous modules.
