Calling Excel Solver from VB (not VBA) Posted by arjunsub on 30 Aug 2005 at 11:40 AM
Hi

I'm developing an application in VB. One module requires the use of the Excel Solver for finding the optimal solution.

I've been able to transfer all values to an Excel worksheet from VB. How do I call the Excel Solver from VB? or rather, can this be done? If not..what other option do I have..can I use something like solver32.dll or solver.xla

Or are there any other freely available callable dlls for VB for optimization.

would really appreciate a reply..thanx
Arjun
