debug vb6 with directx

Is it possible to debug a vb6 application using directx? The window mode allows me to step through code but not view what is being drawn on the screen. VC++6 has remote debugging options to do this. Is there a way to do this with vb6?

Would using dual monitors allow me to debug on one monitor while drawing on another monitor?

Thanks for any help
