Finding components ProgID Posted by Anjuna Moon on 11 Sept 2002 at 3:40 AM
Hi, I need to know how I can find out what ProgID a component has, for use with Sever.CreateObject
(e.g "Scripting.FileSystemObject")

In particular I, at the moment, need the progID for MS Word

I tried using the OLE View application, but that only shows the Class IDs

Hope someone can help
Thx
Chris

Open "Regedit", do a search using the object full name. E.g. to search for Microsoft ActiveX Data Object Library, type the name into the search?
