Does anyone know of a reason why an access2000 database works fine with my asp pages on a win2000 server, but from an xp professional machine, the tables are not updateable nor can I delete any records.

The security settings are prob wrong.
In Explore right-click the folder whith Your Db and
click Properties and Security tab and change permission for
Everyone.
If You dont see Security tab use Tools/Folder options
and View.Uncheck the last one ("Use Simple filesharing....")

What sort of error message returned from Error 500 page of your ASP?

I finally got it resolved. I had to set the permissions on the db. Once I did that, everything worked.
