i was using some subs on my programs and found instances where i wanter#d to go back to the
original screen but found i couldnt because i dont know how, if any on knows and would like to tell me,

I think I know what the prob is. Push F2 and you will see a menu of all the modules in your program. One of the modules will have the same name as the filename. That's the main module of your program.

That was confusing to me too. I'd like to have all the funcs and sub all on the same screen, myself. You can use NotePad or EDIT to edit your program too, if you save it as ASCII(readable by other programs). That way you can see everything together.

You CAN view multiple modules by using the "Edit in split" feature. You can create screens for as many different modules as you have room for on the screen, and hit F6 to move from one to the next.

1) What F.O.B. said. (If you are using quick basic OR qbasic)
2) If you are using Qbasic only, then just hit F2, then Enter. (The main program will always be listed first and highlighted, so you can just press the Enter key).
