CrossPlatform Note-Taking Application

We are a group of developers interested in producing feature-rich cross-platform, portable note-taking application.

Out initial idea is that it would include many of the features of applications like MyBase, Surfulator but perhaps allow the flexible positioning of notes on a page like in BasketNotes or OneNote.

In addition to having standard note-taking functions (assigning notes in a tree-like structure) that is being able to capture entire or partial selections of web pages, and have the ability to add notes about the webclippings.

We envisage that the base version of the software will be open-source and free. A paid pro version will help pay for the high cost of developing the program.

We are looking for volunteer programmers familiar with wxWidgets, python and C++

Team mmorpg Project

I am currently creating a morpg in classic runescape style. Using the xtreme worlds engine ([URL="http://mmorpgmaker.org/forums/index.php"]heres a link[/url]) will make it a smaller game but it is a easy to use program that uses vb6. It will be called Secret of Mortanga.
Here are some features that will be included in the game.

Mail system: it will have a ingame mailing system that works without having to
be online

Quest based: Tons of quests (hopefully in the thousands by the time we are done

Skills The game will include many skills like runescape such as... Cooking, mining, fishing, brewing, etc.

Guilds a guild system that allows certain level people create guilds and have other players join and meat in a guild hall

Player Housing: Self explanatory

PVP and PvE will attract a diverse variety of players

I'm not good with programming but im learning and vb6 is pretty simple plus the xworld forums have lots of help for the engine. This game has been in production for a very small amount of time. Pretty much all I've done is made a couple maps (tarpograpghy planned) and I'm adding some scripts at the moment.
I will take any help I can get but here are some of the main abilities that I need in you: Proggramer (someone that knows vb6 and can adapt to the xworlds version), Mappers (people that can create decent maps with the engine), A SERVER HOSTER (yes at the moment the project has a budget of 0$ but it will still be ausome... someone that can keep their computer with at least basic broadband on and connected to the internet 24/7.) Planner/organizer ( I really need help organizing i am bad at that... somone to kind of plan out assignments for team members and organize a mapping system), Artists (someone who can help create a custom gui and any other art related things), and anyone else that just wants to help but doesn't know how ( someone that can help with back story and ideas perhaps?).

We launched a project to re-interface an old but excellent football game named KICK OFF.

KICK OFF was created in 1989 for tha Atari ST and the Amiga 500 and was followed by PLAYER MANAGER and KICK OFF2.

This game is still considered by a big community to be the best and the most playable soccer games ever developped.

The aim of this current project is to keep the original game only for the match itself with emulating it but to rebuild
a new interface for PC to extend the game possibilities and for example to play online (in the original game, it was possible to play at position only one player, the rest of the team being played by the computer ; we can imagine to play online with 11 humans
against 11 players!)

Steve Camber has made a lot of works to understand the original structure of the Atari game without having sources
and he is the one that knows the best this game.

The site I am working on requires someone with some reasonable knowledge in php, mysql and possibly javascript to complete, but shouldn't take too long and is pretty much 100% focused on earning money online in a fairly efficient and predictable way.

Dividing the money 50/50 may be on the cards, and it would be great to have a general partner in doing this as well to throw ideas around and make the site as good as it can be!

Project Title

Super Robot Wars: Eternity

What is Super Robot Wars: Eternity? Actually, What's Super Robot Wars?

Super Robot Wars is a Japanese franchise that takes the most popular mecha anime and brings them all into the same universe. The game play is similar to Fire Emblem, or any other strategy games of the like. The major goal of the game is to go through the storyline of major shows and have the player play things out differently, or just have fun beating the crap out of their favorite villains. You can find good examples of what SRW's game play is like here.

The major flaw with Super Robot Wars, in general, is that none of the major franchise games are in English outside a couple of the GBA ones. We intend to not only correct that, but create an open source engine that'd allow other mechaphiles the chance to show off their skills. Keep in mind that this is a non-profit project and we do not seek to gain any profits by using the titles of famous products. Instead, we're merely out to have some fun and give back to the internet mecha communities that have been fan subbing some of our favorite shows that haven't been released outside of their native Japan.

All right. What are you looking for?

The team is mainly looking for any programmer able to create an engine that anyone could use to create a game that matches SRW's gameplay. We have no preference when it comes to languages, and we don't intend to limit you by forcing you to use a language you're unfamiliar with, or one you hate working with. If it works and you enjoy working with it then that's fine with us. We're also looking for someone serious who understands the time constraints with such a project. This is something that will take quite some time before it's completion, and we don't want someone who'll just join the team, get annoyed that it's something that won't take a couple of weeks, and leave. Just because it's a fan project does not mean we're not serious about it.

Well, what do you currently have?

The team is currently made up of a group of friends, and other volunteers from different communities. Currently we have three sprite artists, five writers, and a couple of people outside of the project that occasionally help out with the storyline, the animation, and the concept art.

The SRW games pride themselves on creating super-deformed versions of popular anime machines, and we intend to keep that style in our games. Here's a couple of examples from our works from the more popular mecha anime shows.
