how can I get the key state (pressed, etc) at a certain moment? I can't use the KeyPress or something events.

Alternativelly, how can I add an accelerator that will fire, regardless of the control that has the focus?

Couldnt you add a WndProc or ProcessKeyMessage handlers to your form? alternativly I think you would have to sink a windows keyboard hook to capture all keyboard activity.
