I dont know much bout c# and programming but wats the most interesting thing that one can do with c#

As general answer you can practically do any software in c#.
For much more lower level software you will need the relevant component but basically the only obstacle that is stand before you is your knowledge. The more you know the powerful your software will be.
c# may work on both Linux (by using MONO) and windows naturally.
