Hmmm ... it depends if M$ will get C# and the .NET stuff to run on Linux/Unix/etc ...
But I think they can co-exist

I would rather C# not ever become popular unless the language development tools are available for free.

I don't want to have to go through Microsoft to allow me to program like with VC++ and VB.
