C# is a new programming language which needs to be complied to produce .exe or .dll files. To run the executable files, you need .NET platform installed.
not really a correct analogy, but simply think like "to run directx program, you need directx installed".
: frankly i'm quite confused.As i know c# is a COMPILER
: a new compiler..and i read somewhere saying that it's for .NET platform.and wat does this mean? what do you mean by .NET platform? Can't i just get the compiler and start coding?or shud i get PLUS .NET thingy? ....thanks!
