Program Deployment - VB.NET - How's it done now?

Hey, I'm trying to teach myself VB.NET (I learned VB 6 back in the 90's) and I've run into many issues regarding deployment of even some of the simplest programs I've written so far. Once I've compiled to an .exe I can take the easy but unprofessional route of just distributing the executable file...but that leads to some of my issues/questions:

-How do I find out what files I need to package with my executable

-What happened to the "Package & Deployment Wizard"?

I read somewhere that there is no longer a deployment option with .NET so that is not really an issue since I can use Install Shield or NSIS. Really the most important question is how do I discover the dependencies for my programs so I know what files to include with the installer?

I'm new (again) to this site since it's been years since my first signup. So since I've been unable to find answers to these questions so far, if anyone would be kind enough to point me to an appropriate post or even try to answer my questions, your help would be much appreciated! Thanks in advance.

Don't be afraid to correct me if I'm wrong...nobody knows it all!!
VB.net - ending the programme, but not by using the X at top-right!

Hi, I've been reading through the turtorial, seeing as I've moved from VB6 to VB.net. However, I'm having troubles with closing the programm created, but not by using the X that is normally found in the top-right corner. It was easy when I was using VB6, so how can someone close the programme without using the X?
Nit picking question about enum and default value.

In other languages I have used the default value for an enum is the first value.

enum displayType : byte
{
visible=0xa,
invisible
}

struct Points
{
public int x;
public int y;
public displayType dsp;
}
-----Main porgram-----------
Points pts = new Points();
int i = (int) dsp;
Console.WriteLine("Point 1: {0}", i);
-----------------------------
Results in a value of '0';

Question 1: What is the C# definition of the default value for a enum type?

Question 2: Should the default constructor set dsp= 0xa on creation? If so it is a bug in Visual C# 2008 express ,and I will file it. Or is the default value derived from the base type of enum in this case 'BYTE'. In which case the Visual C# is correct and the C# eBook just needs a description of how the default values are defined for enum.

I'm working through the lessons at Programmer’s Heaven's "C# School", and I'm currently on lesson 13, "Data Access in .Net using ADO.Net", so of course I've been trying to connect to Programmer’s Heaven's SQL and MS Access / OleDb databases. Unfortunately, they're now offline. Can anyone please tell me, are there other such databases available for those learning ADO to practice connecting to?
1-
this.Cursor = Cursors.WaitCursor;
this.Cursor = Cursors.Default;

I asked about these lines before & i got the following :

These are just to set the current mouse Cursor to a certain status: either waiting status or default status.

But i still didn't understand them because i didn't feel a really effect of them,so can you give me a practical simple example ?

2-
int [,,] ar =new int [2,2,2];
ar [0, 0, 0] = 7;
ar [2, 1, 2] = 88;
Console.WriteLine(ar [0, 0, 0]);

Error: Index was outside the bounds of the array.

3-
class Program
{

static void Main(string[] args)
{
Program p = new Program();
p.ss();
}
void ss()
{
Console.WriteLine("ss");
}

}
why i must make the method ss() static to call it directly from the Main() or i must make an object from the class program to call it ?
Why i can't call it directly from the Main() ?

4-
what's the Index ? when i use it ? what's its Syntax with a simple example ?

Thank You...
Ok,

I'm trying to create a class library that enables me to use a enum. Simple I thought. But the

more and more I dig the deeper the rabbit whole goes. I've tried to Substitute the obvious DDD in

the public void Main method still no luck. I'm able to compile but my error "is a type which isn't

valid is DataObjects.DDD is a 'type', which is not valid in the given context. Maybe someone

can correct the error in my ways. Thanks.
