I have problem working with recursive functions.

My matlab crashes after few iterations. and the Recursion i have checked runs for around 4400 odd runs but i wrote a small snipped code just to check the system limit for recursion this new set crashes at 1836 itself. I need to know whats the exact meaning in recursion and also about finding the limit for a given pc
