Are there any versions of Delphi that are available as freeware, I'm just looking to start learning Delphi, but the cost of the software is currently prohibitive.

I think you can still get Delphi Open Edition. Might be wrong. Look back thru the archives for this messageboard. This has come up before and someone [Manning ?] knew where it was.

The free personal edition of Delphi 6 is available at:

ftp://ftpd.borland.com/download/delphi/personal/BorlandDelphiPersonalEdition.exe

You'll have to go to their website and sign up to get a serial to use it.
