Simple serial terminal/analyzer program? Posted by coreystinson on 3 Aug 2001 at 10:30 AM
For years, I have been using the TERM95.EXE DOS program as
an RS-232 serial terminal for debugging/analyzing purposes,
primarily because it is such a handy, simple tool. I believe this tool came out of one of the Norton System Commander packages. It can easily switch between TTY emulation and HEX dump of output, and has convenient logging capability.

Is anyone aware of a Windows equivalent to this program? All
I can find is software on one extreme or the other. I either
find useless telnet-type terminal programs that happen to support serial communication, or I run into this super-sophisticated serial protocol analyzers which are way more than I need and often don't have the simple terminal capability that I'd like.

Any suggestions?
