I wish to read data from a Webcam (USB).
This is for an embedded system project i am working on...
Please do someone has something on Using webcam,how to retrieve data from them ?
Any information is welcome :)

I havent really worked with Webcams but I would assume there are certain commands to send for particular operations. Well I think the first step is to get the technical manual of the webcam to see the usb commands to send. Or you can alternatively try to get a USB port sniffer software/hardware that can show data coming from/to the webcam.

I think your project would then be easy once you get the USB commands for the particular Webcam. This days most of the Embedded systems have USB ( e.g. Atmel ARM and Microchip ).

I am also doing a similar project. I am trying to access/read data from USB Webcam using C S-Function in MATLAB. How do i interface to the webcam using C?
