Thinking about a career in programming, Outlook not so good? Posted by ethman1991 on 19 Jul 2011 at 10:47 PM
I've been trying to decide on a career path to follow, and I think I would really enjoy computer programming. I grew up playing with computers. When I was eleven, I took the ram out of my computer and put it in backwards and it smoked and melted the motherboard :X

but in my researching this career I found a lot of people saying there is become a lot less of need for computer programmers because of prepackaged software and CASE.

I read that computer software engineer is better, but that seems more like a job for a "creative" person. I like to find logic solutions, not creative ones, and its preferred you have a master degree, and well I don't want to do anymore college that 4 years... I can't stand going to community college as it is.
