My Period Won't Stop? Posted by everlastes on 17 Feb 2012 at 1:31 AM
Hi, I'm 15 and I've been having serious period problems. I got my period when I was 11, almost 12, and I had it for about a year, then it stopped. After about another year it came back, but never went away. So it's been about 3 years now, and I'm still on it. It hasn't stopped. I haven't had any problems with it until tonight, I felt really weird and then When I looked at my underwear there were huge blood clots coming out, and it was a LOT of blood. and now my head really hurts! I'm very scared. I don't know if the headache has anything to do with it or not, but im still REALLY scared. I've never had sex, or kissed anyone. No contact like that. Does anyone know what could be wrong??
Thank you, and God Bless!

I am not sure that this is the right forem for this question but I will answer anyway. I had the same problem when I was your age. The irregular periods are probably from just being a teenager. The clots that you are talking about are normal. They result from bleeding heavily and fast. The blood oxygenates so fast that it forms chunks. They kind of feel like meat but believe me its blood. Your headaches are most likely from being dehydrated. You are loosing a lot of blood and moisture from your body and need to drink water to replace that lose. I advise you to tell your parents that you need to see a gynocologist. He will probrably put you on medication that will shorten and lighten your periods. Remember, if you feel like there is anything wrong going on with your body you should consult a physician. Good Luck and God bless.
