: : : I have an existing company web page created in FrontPage. I am
: : : trying to add a web page that would have a area to view an AutoCAD
: : : file. I am envisioning a window in the middle of the page that
: : : shoulds that AutoCAD drawing, which the person visiting the web page
: : : would be able to pan, zoom in/out and scroll around the drawing like
: : : in AutoCAD. Does anyone have any ideas on how to go about doing
: : : this???
: : Hmmmm...depends on many things. What format does AutoCAD export to? And are the people viewing this likely to have AutoCAD on their computers?
: :
: : You can always try (for starters, anyway) uploading the AutoCAD drawing and trying to use an img or iframe tag (set the src attribute to point at your drawing).
: :
: : Pan and zoom in/out are another matter and my only thought at the moment about how that could work is if AutoCAD loads inside the iframe. But again, that depends on the user viewing the page having AutoCAD installed, and whether the browser decides to do that.
: :
: : Yours almost cluelessly,

: Thanks for the reply. Fortunatly I figured it out after some poking around on some front page message boards. In case you are wondering. Publish the .dwg file as a .dwf and add a reference link to the .dwf file. You will need a .dwf file viewer, like Voloview or autodesk viewer.

Thanks for posting back on how you did it!
