Dear Friends,
I am calling for help, my Front Page 2000 is refusing me to upload the website because of the permission (username and password):80. The username and password are correct, but I reinstalled the Windows and installed Symantec AntiVirus and Firewall, but the problem persists even if I switch them off. On the toolbar in my Front Page the Security submenu is greyed out. If somebedy knows how to fix the problem, please let me know. I appreciate any help,

Easy fix: Don't use Frontpage.
Anything more complicated: Try the help docs. If it's not in there, it's just another reason to take the easy way out.

Thanks for the reply, actually, I have been thinking about it for some time, but what program to use? I purchased Macromedia Dreamweaver MX 2004 educational version, but it keeps crashing, I am not sure if the full version is better. Any advice?

I don't use editors, so I have no experience, but before shelling out for Dreamweaver I'd suggest trying Mozilla Composer (http://mozilla.org/products/mozilla1.x/). It's free, and comes with a great browser.

However, I've always found the best way to do things (unless you want to design something a complicated layout, if you're no good at visualising HTML like me) is to do it with a plain old text editor. jEdit (http://jedit.org) is a good one, or there's PFE (http://www.webattack.com/get/pfe.shtml), which is pretty basic but starts much faster.

I believe that writting web pages this way is better than using any HTML editor, the pages run faster, but I am not good at HTML at all, and now my webs are pretty large so it would be very hard for me to change the way I am used to do it.
