A good place to start is
http://www.htmlgoodies.com/. It will teach you how to write HTML using a text editor. You can also use a WYSIWYG editor like MS Frontpage or Netscape Collabra to visually design your pages.<br>
I prefer to hand code, because it is a lot less sloppy.<br>
