Hello I also posted this message in the Web Dev. forum. Hope that is OK. I have not been able to find any satisfactory leads. I am pretty much beginning but not sure how to pull this off.

I am trying am using a PHP script to access a DB and get all names from a member name field. I put all these names in a text file each in its own line (row). Simple file I/O. What I am not sure how to go about is after creating that file, how can I make a feature that will allow the user to download that file to his/her computer like the way you might download an attachment from an email (javascript maybe)?

I know I can simply create a link like this-> <a href="file.txt">right click here to download file</a> but I would prefer to make it better.

Any help will be greatly appreciated!
