I am trying to set up an image/word associated database. Basically i want a text field to recognize words that are input(blogg)with images. The images would be stored in a database and each image would be assigned keywords. When a user was prompted to input an experience, an image would be referenced and stored in a temporary bin. After this process had repeated the user could view these images collectively. This application would be viewed thru a browser, via a dvd. My project is dealing with emmersive environments, and digital space. Any information would be very helpful and much appreciated.

Javascript by itself cannot read/write any files, so you need something more than only javascript.

There are a couple of ways that I know to make JavaScript read files; the best being ActiveX. There are better languages out there for making this possible though, don't limits yourself to using JavaScipt alone, although it does help with loading and storing images and text, not to mention managing other objects
