Web Engineer

Rochester, NY

Specific responsibilities include:
Providing technical expertise and assists in the direction of the design, development and support of company web sites.
Executing the technical design of the systems architecture including performance, production, design problems, response, throughput, etc.
Working with other IT staff members to refine the design requirements into a technical design consisting of job flows and program specifications.
Solving a range of interoperability issues that may exist in the I-net environment.
Assisting in the designs, configurations and fine-tuning of servers.
Assists in the design and maintenance of the HR to LDAP upload process, Suite Spot server and SMTP routing infrastructure.
Creates the external site management plan.
Researches and locates the solutions necessary for server setup and design.
Performance tunes online Web systems, as needed.

Position requirements
BS in Computer Science and a minimum of 3 years experience in developing and integrating systems in multi-platform environments to include NT, UNIX, web server installation, configuration and operation, transaction processing, network and WWW security including S-HTTP, SSI. Experience with web tool applications, HTMS, Perl, CGI, Java, JavaScript, SQL and RDBMS required.
