I am running redhat 7.1 kernal 2.4.2-2smp

lilo.conf
append="hdc=ide-cd hdd=ide-scsi"

dmesg output
ide_setup: hdc=ide-cd
ide-setup: hdd=ide-scsi
....
hdc: SAMSUNG CD-ROM ATAPI CD/DVD-ROM drive
hdd: HP CD-WRITER C16R ATAPI CD/DVD-ROM drive
....
ide-cd: ignoring drive hdc
Attached scsi CD-ROM sr0 at scsi1 ....
sr0: scsi3-mmc drive: 40x/40x writer cd/rw .....

Any suggestions would be greatly appreicated.

:

remove the hdc=ide-cd option, or change it to ide-scsi. changing the order of them might also work (i.e. have the ide-scsi drive specified before the ide-cd one)
