I'm an asp developer switching to asp.net for the web. I'd like to start my education in developing for the Palm PDA platform that would connect to an sql 2000 back-end database when the device is synchronized (have to dock, not wireless completely yet). Can anyone point out some good tutorials for a beginner that steps one through the process - preferably in asp.net?

Hello,
I am looking to have the following basic prog. converted to "Palm Basic" so I will be able to run this prog. on a Palm Pilot.
Please take a look and tell me if it is possible and if someone can do it or if I can do it myself. I am not to knowledgeable in programming so that could be a challenge.

unable to uncheck checkboxes

hi. i'm new to programming PDAs. i'm currently writing a program that displays a menu (like in a restaurant situation) and transmits data (the customer's orders) frm the PDA via serial communication. currently, i've two problems.

for the GUI, i am only able to check the checkboxes but not uncheck it. the second problem wld b that the program hangs everytime i check the checkbox. this is weird as this very same program i;ve written works well on a tungstenE but hangs everytime i check a checkbox on a PalmIIIx. any insight to rectify the two problems i am facing? below are segments of my codes.

i'm student and i'm workin on a project. in my project i have to develop an application that that will retrieve search result from palm database and will display it in text boxes or wotever. the problem is all the results in the palm database are in Arabic. How can i display Arabic text in textboxes using MobileVB 4.0. I have tried hard to find a CMF Arabic font but no use. plz help me. I have also tried to convert Arial TTF(Arabic Script) to Arial CMF but still no use. Plz i need some help.

Linking TxtGlue* functions using prc-tools

I am fairly new to Palm development. I am reading O'Reilly's Palm OS Programming and working through their example Sales application. I've got most of it compiling at the moment. However, I keep getting "undefined reference" errors when trying to link any of the TxtGlue functions. I am using prc-tools under Red Hat Linux 8. I have added the -lPalmOSGlue option to the command line, but still get the errors.

Yes, I know I can download the source code. In fact, I have and it compiles just fine. However, I find that I learn more if I can put all the pieces together by hand. I have typed in most of the source code and created a makefile myself. If anyone knows how to link with the TxtGlue functions with prc-tools, I'd sure appreciate any suggestions.

I'm trying to connect to a Router via Serial port with my PalmVx. I'm using Vt100 terminal or Online-Terminal but it's not working and i can't see the device via the serial.
