What do I need to create my own mobile operating system?

for my upcoming project I've decided I want to create a cell phone operating system for myself with a group of people.

I know there are numerous factors to take into consideration such as interface, hardware, compiler is what I am aware about.

I was just wondering what else do i require in order to create a cell phone operating system besides the aforementioned factors.

To add to that, what programming languages could I use? I know Java, Python and Ruby could be used. What else could be used?

Could I use Android to develop the cell phone OS without Google's permission?

As for a compiler, which one is the best one for a phone? That will support all that I would require?

The initiative taken for the concern is very serious and need an attention of every one. This is the concern which exists in the society and needs to be eliminated from the society as soon as possible. I subscribe to Insider Score, and that is correct there has been scant insider buying. Insider Score's market wide buying indicator tracks very closely my sentiment indicators.

Well Its not so difficult to make project on Eclipse and make a .prc, its
just can be done through wizard. The only difference between Metrowerks
Codewarrior and PODS is that Codewarrior uses (.rsc) format for resource where
as PODS uses .XRD format.

Secondly If you want to convert your existing code that run on PODS first
change .rsc to .xrd and then use import facility.

hi,
to develop ussd based application you need to be a content provider and registered with a ussd gateway (of any mobile network operator). pressing *XXX# will send an request to ussd gateway and then gateway request content provider (specified within that selection by id) to send some service to subscriber mobile.
I guess it your project will face complexity in arranging ussd content provider facility than to build an ussd based service/application. Anyway best of luck.

1.In which language USSD App can be built?
2.What will be exact palce of USSD App in GSM Architecture?

using netbeans, i have written a Hello test. after building target, there are some files and folders in the Build folder.

how can i test this simple program on my sony Ericson k800i? i saw nothing special in the mobile menus for accepting and running a new program. I can put all those files into mobile set, but where? which file? and how to test it?
