Why it takes so long for a submission to be online? I understand that you must be having a large number of submission everyday and it takes time to check every submission according to ProgrammersHeaven criteria BUT then too it takes too much time for a submission to be online, its around 5-6 days.

I know i should not be comparing PH with any other site but then too, for example,at http://www.planet-source-code.com/ a submission is available online within an hour or so.

I believe 5-6 days is a worst case maximum figure. I've submitted a few things before and it's been online in much less time than that.

Does it get manually checked there, BTW?

No, i dont think so that it is manually checked there. and I think at PH they manually check everything. THis, indeed improves quality but also delay is increased. All I want to say that it needs improvement and can be improved.
Like: PH, HIGH Quality Short dealays :)

The time for validation is about 5-6 days at the moment becuase we manually check all submissions for broken links and also manually organize the files into the right categories. We do receive over
50 new submissions and updates every day and becuase of the volume
it does take some time.

I plan to shorten the time by hiring a dedicated manager for the listings but I haven't found the right one yet. So I am working on the problem.
