Tags used in subjects? Posted by ColdShine on 26 Jul 2001 at 3:45 PM
I was about to post a message with a <grin> in the subject, but I didn't see that word in the subject itself when posted.
Now my question is: what if I had typed, say, <b> instead of <grin> ?<br>_____________________________

Currently I don't support tags in the subjectline because it would then certainly corrupt the rendering of the messagelists page. Imagine if someone posted
... in the subject line, then the listpage would be corrupted for everyone.

So, i think its the safest to not allow that for the moment.

Alright, but it isn't what I meant. What I was asking is: if I put an HTML tag in the subject line, the entire tag is stripped out, instead of putting &lt; and &gt; in place of < and > . Is it by design?
