2 site bugs - (1) reports UserNotFound, (2) lost new blogs posts

Hi.

By unknown reason it reports "User Not Found" right after I logged in.
But I still can update my profile and so on.

Next problem - I have tried to post new blog records but them disapeared.

Can you please fix it?

PS. Also I want to report the must-to-have feature - the email notifcations on comments and replies to my posts. Without such notification I most probably will not check this site for long time.

Hey, i have to do a program that works with arrays.
i have list1[] which goes from 0 to 9. in each i have a random number. i need to get list2[] from 0 to 9, that gets the random numbers in list1[] and puts them in descending order (greater to least)...
could you write an example so i can see how it goes... or explain or something...

A week ago I posted a final attempt to reach out to the site administration for both some sort of site upkeep and an offer to assist by applying for forum moderation. There has been no hint of a response from any of the several contact points I've used.

The forums are running rampant with adds and spam to the extent that they are no longer usable for any kind of reasonable communication. There is apparently no administration of any kind being applied to any area of this site to include being able to respond to webmaster/administrative e-mails.

It is some-what saddening to know that the apparent death of this site appears to have concluded during this site's 10 year anniversary. While this particular account is fairly new (due to some issues with my previous account), I've been a member of Programmers Heaven for many years.

I will be saying my farewell to Programmers Heaven and this will conclude my participation on this site. I will be leaving my account active in the hopes that the administration one-day resurrects this site, but will not be frequently checking for any updates and will be moving completely to StackOverflow.com.

I have enjoyed posting on this site over stack overflow due to the fact that you are given plenty of time to formulate more helpful responses and even do some research to help a fellow coder out. This level of interaction is impossible on stack overflow as it is very strongly themed around quick and short answers - and anything requiring more than this is down-voted into oblivion.

So: Farewell!
It was a great run.
Hope to see you alive again one day in the future!

I applied for that same position a few weeks ago already. Maybe everything just gets lost in the spam:). At least we know there are people ready to deal with the problem, so all is not lost yet.

Even an incometent would at least post a reply somewhere about something - at the very least to defend themselves. I really think there is just a minimal level of attention given to the back-end of this site.

I know there is a "Jonathan" somewhere that consults for them or something like that - but he doesn't seem to be on full-time employment here and is the only one I've seen that appears to do any up-keep.

Actually I think they are merely incompetent. We had a similar spam flood last year and it took them ages to fix that.

Yet there is no tool for mass deleting posts.

Well if you look at a site like StackOverflow - moderation is distributive and based on poster "trust". I would argue that it's not so much the moderation "Tools" but the entire moderation solution/approach. Especially if the owners of the site have basically abandoned it. A system resembling StackOverflow's would at least allow the persistence of site maintenance without actually requiring any owner interaction.

What we need here is better tools for moderation. For example it would be nice to have the functionality like remove all posts of a specific topic starter (and remove his login credentials as well). And remove it without marking the thread as deleted, because it will simply have no effect - all threads still will be listed, but marked as "This thread was deleted". Simply yank it all in one SQL statement!

I like to help people out and answer questions, but on top of all of the problem that seem to never be fixed, now there is just an absolute flood of spam comming in. This is kind of the last blow to make (at least the C# forum) completely unusable.

Is it time to say good-by to PH?
