Hi to all i am a new member to this group. I am doing an application for an university using PHP and in Linux.

In this application there is an exam in that i want to scan the answer sheet and recognize the marks using Optical Mark Recognition(OMR).

I want the details of the OMR hardware and software that should support both linux and php.

Can any one help on this how to develop this using the concept of OMR

You may want to have a look at phpOCR:
http://www.phpclasses.org/browse/package/2874.html I've not used it, but it seems to be along the lines of what you're looking for.
