I am running the Python shell IDLE 0.8 by Guido van Rossum and I don't have the Run Script fucntion under the edit menu. If any of you know how I can run programs with this please let me know.

You need to have a script open for editing in IDLE to get the run commands to display under the Edit menu.

Alright go to http://www.python.org/ and get their compiler. It can save your script and run it. It is just like the one u speficed but its even better

IDLE comes with the standard Python installation for Windows and was written by the creator of Python. It uses the regular python interpreter, just gives you a GUI on top of it.
