I am working on a program to monitor temperature of different components of a computer. To start, I am working specifically on cpu. From my research, what I find is that the WMI is the best way to do this. The problem is, when I install Tim Golden's module for WMI, and use a sample code from the internet to get CPU temp, I get an error that basically says: this feature is not supported by your computer (not in so many words) Does anyone know what the problem is? I know that this feature is supported, because I have used SIW (System Information for Windows) and it finds the CPU temp just fine.
