API Windows Posted by Cyril on 3 Apr 2000 at 9:24 AM
Hello,

I have a little LAN at home and I'd like to connect a compter to the others at logon, so as to see them like disks in the explorer.

Of course, if they were always on, I could put the item "connect at logon", but they are not always on and it creates an error message if trying to connect a computer that is off.

So here are my questions:
1) Does a system instruction exists, (like 'ping' or so...) to verify the existence of a machine on the network, and if yes, how could I use it in a
script or a VB file ?...
2) What is the API instruction used to connect a computer as a disk in the explorer ?

Thank you all,
