Just toss the Linux CD in and go.. deffinetly get Windows off of your system. And get Linux on. You will partition and format in the set up.. so don't worry about doing it before hand.
Resizing a partition is EASY! just buy (borrow or steal) a copy of powerquest Partition Magic, make the 2 floppy disks, boot with the disks and change the sizes...
