I've worked with the TC++ and G++ Compilers .Use the proper '/'
when it comes to Unix or Linux .In Dos ,use '\\' .Example :
If your Directory is \temp\booze\aladdin ,it should be written...

Yes ... you could write DEC-ALPHA assembler in notepad if you like ...

if oyu have included i dont think you have to include (again). The library you should link is ws2_32.lib (a newer one, WinSock 2). Try weather your program works without any calls to socket...
