Solve Black Screen Problem & Windows Vista Hangs after Partition Corruption

Are you facing partition corruption in the release version of Microsoft Windows Vista? Does your MS Windows Vista system stop responding at startup? Or, do you encounter black blank screen while booting your system? If you come across any of the above behaviors, you can not access your hard drive partitions or the data stored therein. It eventually leads to critical partition loss situations and you need to opt for FAT Data Recovery solutions to get your valuable data back.

The above issue may also occur in the SP1 or Service Pack 1 of Microsoft Windows Vista. You may find that the Autocheck.exe process stops responding and the system become unusable. Autocheck.exe is an automatized procedure that runs at every system boot up, if it encounters any error with your system. The problem occurs because of the way used by Autocheck.exe for detecting corruption.

The criterion used by Autocheck.exe for corruption detection are completely different from what are used by the FAT (File Allocation Table) file system. Though at startup, the FAT file system marks hard drive partitions as corrupted, the Autocheck.exe does not consider it as damaged and also does not perform any operation for fixing it.

The same problem occurs every time you reboot your system. FAT marks the hard drive partitions as damaged and the Autocheck.exe utility restarts. But, the system does not work as expected and you encounter a black screen. When you try to log into your system after canceling Autocheck.exe process, the process fails. You can try to boot the system in Safe Mode to carry out FAT Partition Recovery by sorting out this problem.

To fix the problem, download Automated Installation Kit (AIK) and create system disk to reboot your system.

Run Chkdsk/f command for detecting and fixing file system errors. If the problem remains unsolved, you need to format the hard drive and reinstall Windows operating system.

Although, formatting helps you to sort out most of the hard drive related problems, it also removes all hard drive partitions. At this point you need to carry out FAT Data Recovery to get your mission-critical valuable data back.

FAT Partition Recovery applications extract lost data in most of the logical data loss situations. The software carry out thorough scan of entire hard drive and extract all lost, missing, and inaccessible data out of it.

Stellar Phoenix Windows Data Recovery is the most advanced and powerful application that ensures absolute recovery of lost Windows partitions and data. The software works well with Microsoft Windows 7, Vista, 2003, XP, and 2000. It recovers files and data from FAT16, FAT32, VFAT, NTFS, and NTFS5 file system partitions.
