How to Recover Lost Data Due to File System Error-65535
'Hard drive recovery' holds mere significance to all computer users as whether it is your personal lappy or your office desktop, the hard drive of the computer stores all your data initially. May be you are taking backup, but what if any instance of data loss happens before taking your scheduled backup for the day! Anyone can encounter such a tragic data loss situation and I am sure, many people have already witnessed the same. These are the accidental data loss situations, for which one may never can stay prepared and hence, almost impossible to prevent the occurrence. However, the good news is that recovery options in the form of advanced hard drive recovery software are available and you always have a chance to retrieve back your precious data from the troubled hard drive.

You started your Windows machine and whenever you are trying to open any application or trying to install any program, you are encountering an error message. Moreover, your desktop icons along with some file/folders are missing and the system is exceptionally slow, though there is ample disk space available. Even, sometimes you may encounter a black login screen and problems in running programs as administrator. The error message that you have encountered can be read as below:

'File System Error (65535)'

The error message that you receive clearly indicates a possible corruption to the file system of the computer, for which some files, folders and applications have already been inaccessible and if you would not take any measures to repair the same, the situation can be worse leaving all your valuable data stuck in the hard drive.

In order to resolve the issue and recover hard drive data, you can run the 'chkdsk' from the command mode. The 'chkdsk' is a specially developed tool to check the integrity of the disk and repairs, if it finds any kind of corruption/damage. If the 'chkdsk' fails to resolve the issue, then you can follow the below steps to get the problem fixed:

Go to Windows safe mode by pressing F8 at the system start-up.
Run the command prompt as the administrator by Start Menu > All Programs > Accessories – make a right click and select Run as administrator.
Then, type sfc /scannow. Note that there must be a space in between sfc and /.

Note: This is the 'system file checker' tool, which is meant to check all the Windows files for any instance of corruption.

If all the above measures fail, then there is only one way left, that is to run any Windows hard drive recovery utility to recover back your seemingly lost data.

Stellar Phoenix Windows Data Recovery is a highly appreciated hard drive recovery software to recover back your lost, deleted, formatted data from the Windows operating system based hard drives. The software is powerful enough to locate and recover your hard drive data even from the weak hard drives and the free disk cloning feature can be very much handy as well.

External Hard Drive Corruption: How to Recover Photos on Mac Machine
Are you experiencing problems while mounting an external hard drive on your Mac machine? And, are you unable to access photos stored on it? If your answer is a clear Yes, then I am afraid to say that your external hard drive might be corrupt. Don't panic. The purpose of writing this article is to make you familiar with the problems and possible workarounds which can be observed in order to perform Mac Photo Recovery . If an external hard drive becomes corrupt and displays strange behavior like displaying no files etc, you can tackle the situation and compensate the data loss very easily. Photos, as stated in the the above-mentioned scenario, can be recovered by using an appropriate recovery application designed for Macintosh-based storage media.

To shed light on external hard drive corruption and its various symptoms, let's consider a real-world scenario. Imagine you have an external hard disk with several photos, when you connect it to your Mac system, it doesn't work fine and you may receive the following error message:

"Directory cannot be rebuilt, this file system is unsupported / this disk is not a Macintosh disk / this
disk does appear on the desktop."

The message indicates some major problem with the hard disk. As a result of the error message, you cannot access photos from your external hard drive. Let's first zero in on the possible causes behind the above error message which would help us in addressing the issue in a correct way.

Cause

An external hard drive exhibits such abrupt behavior when it goes corrupt. It could have got damaged due to factors like abrupt system shutdown, virus attacks, power fluctuations etc.

Resolution

You can perform Mac photo recovery by connecting the external hard drive to another Mac computer. If you still receive the same error message and issue persists, then it is advisable you reformat the external hard drive on your Mac machine, followed by restoring lost photos from a backup.

In absence of a backup, the ideal way to recover lost photos from a formatted external hard drive is using a Mac Photo Recovery software.

Compatible with Mac OS X 10.6(Snow Leopard), 10.5 (Leopard), 10.4 (Tiger), and 10.3.9 (Panther), Stellar Phoenix Photo Recovery is the best software available for recovering lost or deleted photos on Macintosh computers. Besides photos, this Mac Photo Recovery software enables you to recover audios and videos from a range of storage media (memory cards, hard drives, memory sticks, USBs etc), regardless of the reasons behind data loss.
Use Mac Photo Recovery to Recover Data From Non-Loading Mac Machine

With the wide-spread usage of Apple devices (iPods, iPhones, and iPads), it is little wonder that more and more people have switched their operating system from Windows to Mac. But, for those, in film and fashion industry, who have to majorly work on images, and videos, dependence on Mac is beyond questioning. With the fast processing, and unbeatable clarity in viewing, Mac machines have always won customers vote. But does this powerful machine not have any problems? It would be wrong to assume such a thing! A Mac machine too is as much an electromechanical device, and prone to its set of troubles. And any professional working on this machine with his video, image or sound file, will have to opt for comprehensive Mac data recovery including Mac photo recovery software. This can be performed either using appropriate steps, backups – if available, or using appropriate tools.

Let us understand this situation using appropriate example!

Michelle was working on her photos that had to be published in the magazine, and had been told by her supervisor that the same needs to be submitted earlier than the schedule, as the work plan had been changed abruptly. Working incessantly to complete the last collage that she had created in Photoshop, she suddenly found herself sitting next to a blank screen. There had been an outage, and the computer had shut down abruptly. Upon briefing her supervisor about the situation, she got a nod from them. When the power came, and she started the system, it didn't boot. After calling the IT-helpdesk, she found her system had crashed, and they had to test the system further to see what could be wrong. But what happened to the photos? She had to submit it to her supervisor, as this task was urgent.

But, the system had to be formatted as there were some major issues with the file system of her Mac machine. And, she did not have any backup!

Distressed, she met her supervisor, and confessed to not having any backups. She knew, it was a tough situation. He dismissed her, and as she left, she heard him talking to the IT helpdesk personnel. After a while, one of the representatives from that team came, and asked her to accompany him to the IT room. There, she learnt that her hard drive had been formatted and connected to another working computer, and they were using a Mac Photo Recovery software to recover all her photos. She pointed to the files that were important, and got them all recovered using that powerful tool.

After the entire episode, she researched about that software, Stellar Phoenix Photo Recovery, and found, instead of a weird looking technical software, a fairly intuitive tool, that was very simple to operate. Having two different versions, one each for Mac and Windows operating system, she instantly downloaded a copy of the Mac Photo Recovery tool for her personal use as well.
How to Retrieve Inaccessible Windows Partition

The Windows operating system uses HAL (Hardware Abstraction Layer) for the Windows NT series of operating systems. This hal.dll file is actually a layer of software products that directly interacts with the system hardware. Because of this, different applications and device drives do not need to deal directly with the hardware and must make calls to HAL routines to determine hardware specific information, thereby making your job much easier. However, at times this file gets corrupt due to which you cannot start your computer as the system is unable to detect the active partition. There are several methods that should be tried out to bring the system in order. If these methods do not work, then you should use a third-party Windows partition recovery software to recover the inaccessible data.

Such a problem can occur when you try to start your Windows XP system. You may face the following error message in this case:

“Windows could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt.
Windows root\system32\hal.dll.
Please re-install a copy of the above file.”

Cause:

There could be the following reasons for this system startup issue:

The active partition or boot record is corrupt.
The file system or disk corruption damages the primary boot record, the Hal.dll file, and/or the Ntoskrnl.exe file.
The Hal.dll and the Ntoskrnl.exe files are mismatched.

Resolution:

These situations can be recovered using the following methods for the aforementioned causes:

If the partition or boot record is bad, then you should repair the master boot record by using the 'fixmbr' command from the Windows XP Recovery Console.
If the file system or disk is corrupt, then you should run 'chkdsk /r' to scan and repair the hard disk by logging in the Recovery Console using Windows XP CD.
If the hal.dll and Ntoskrnl.exe files are mismatching, then you should use the Windows XP CD to access Recovery Console. This method involves checking the boot.ini file and rebuilding it and using fixboot to write new Windows boot sector code on the system partition.

However, if you are still not getting access to your system then you should recover partition using a good third-party data recovery software. These partition recovery tools are competent enough to recover all the data without any damage to the memory device.

Out of several partition recovery software available these days, Stellar Phoenix Windows Data Recovery is the best one as it recovers lost, deleted, or formatted data from NTFS, exFAT, and FAT file systems. Able to recover more than 185 different file types from various storage devices, this Windows partition recovery utility is compatible with Windows 7, Vista, Server 2003, XP, and 2000.
Recovering partition data from NTFS file system when the MFT gets fragmented
The MFT (Master File Table) is a repository in the NTFS file system that keeps the record of all the file data including file name, creation date, access permissions, and contents, etc. To view any type of information related to the files, you can refer to the MFT. However, at times the MFT itself gets corrupt due to too many files. Because of this, you may not be able to even start your system. You can use the 'Bcupdate.exe' utility to get rid of this problem. If that tool is unable to recover partition data, then you should use a third-party partition recovery software to overcome this situation.

Let us consider a situation in which you are using Windows XP and are unable to start it after the boot process gets over. In this case, the following error is displayed:

“NTLDR is missing
Press CTRL+ALT+DEL to restart.”

Cause:

Such problem can occur if the MFT root folder is severely fragmented because of too many files. If the folder contains several files, then the MFT becomes so fragmented that an additional allocation index is created. As the files are now mapped alphabetically in the allocation indexes, the NTLDR file may get pushed to the second allocation index. Because of this, the NTLDR is not found during the boot process and the given error is displayed.

Resolution:

To resolve this problem, you should use the Bcupdate2.exe utility. For this, the following steps are required:

Contact Microsoft Support to obtain the Bcupdate2.exe utility.
Create a Boot disk so that you can start the system in recovery mode.
Run the following command to extract the Bcupdate2.exe utility from the software update.
Expand drive_letter:\bcupdate2.ex_ drive_letter:\bcupdate2.exe
Run the following command to update the boot code of the NTFS boot sector:
Bcupdate2.exe C: /F
Press Y when you are prompted to update the volume. After it is done successfully, you will receive the following confirmatory message:
The boot code was updated successfully.

However, if the provided solution does not solve the purpose then you should use a third-party partition recovery utility to retrieve all the inaccessible Windows files. Such data recovery tools are capable of recovering all types of data using non-destructive scanning algorithms.

The most efficient Windows partition recovery software among all such tools is Stellar Phoenix Windows Data Recovery, which recover partition from FAT, NTFS, and exFAT file systems. Capable of recovering data from various memory devices such as pen drives, memory cards, etc, this partition recovery software is compatible with Windows 7, Vista, Server 2003, XP, and 2000.
Hard Disk Recovery Is Possible Even After Formatting The System

No matter which operating system you use, all the storage devices (including internal and external hard disk drives, zip drives, CDs, DVDs, pen drives, and many more) are prone to errors and data loss. This could happen due to any reason, like, unintentional or intentional drive formatting, unexpected power off leading to sudden closure of the operating system, accidental deletion of important system files, partition or its file system corruption, operating system error, some bugs, corruption or damage to the storage media, read/write error messages, and many more. But handling all these problems is fairly easy, if you have a backup of the data. But in case you don't have it, hard drive recovery software can aid you in your endeavor for it.

Consider, you formatted the system. Now, this might be a need of the hour, or an accidental incident, or sabotage of your system. Though formatting is a process that is used to prepare a hard disk drive for saving data by installing a file system. This process readies the hard drive for storing fresh data by deleting the earlier saved data. It was believed by people earlier that this phenomenon led to deletion of the data, but now it is possible to recover almost all of it. So, whether you formatted the system to get rid of the viruses, or to remove the nasty error message, or you were preparing to get rid of your hard drive, keep in mind that every single file that wa previously saved in your system may be recovered.

With the help of a good link=http://www.stellarinfo.com/download.htm]hard drive recovery software[/link], you may be able to access your data. Just make sure that the software you rely upon is not a virus or malware. Some free software may not be reliable. Rely on a software that is backed by a trusted company with experience in disk recovery. A number of software even have simple graphical user interface, with read-only and non-destructive conduct.

Also make sure that you do not install the software on the affected drive, as for all you know, the recovery software might just overwrite the data that had to be recovered. In such a case, you will not be able to extract all the data.

Stellar Information Systems Ltd., is a pioneer in data recovery and has a plethora of dedicated software that are compatible with different operating systems (like, Windows, Mac, Linux), and are designed to perform specific recovery tasks.
Use Mac Photo Recovery to Recover Data From Non-Loading Mac Machine

Mac systems have not only been a stalwart of support, but have provided a great image, audio and video quality. That is why, most of the professionals in the field of media, photography, and other allied streams depend majorly on this machine. This machine is however like any other machine, and is prone to many problems, like failure of different parts, like, CD-ROM, memory, hard drive, and various other parts. And this brings trouble to the various graphics professional. Though they get very few viruses, spyware, adware, and malware, they are prone to data loss. And in such situations, these professionals need to look at recovery solutions, like Mac photo recovery software to recover their audios, videos, and photos too.

One of my friends, who had just started working as an intern, for a video editor, met with one such tragedy. He had been working on one of the most prestigious projects that the firm had received and abruptly, his foot hit the machine during shutdown. The next day, the machine didn't respond. Taken aback by this sudden response from the machine, he didn't know what to do. His video editing career was finished even before it had started. The guys would not only kick him out, but will give him a terrible feedback. He approached his pal in the tech support team, and confided in him. On hearing the entire case, his friend inspected the system, and came to the conclusion that the machine had not been damaged because of his foot, but had developed some other problem. On inspecting further, he found it was a typical hard drive issue. And they simply had to take the hard drive out, attach it to another computer, and see, if it was readable by another system. The moment they connected, they found data recovery was possible from the hard drive, though they will have to buy a software.

Instantly, they installed the demo version of Mac photo recovery software, on another machine, and lo-and-behold, their videos were immediately available for a preview. They bought the full version of the software, to immediately recover all the files, and then informed the authority about the problem with the hard drive.

Stellar Phoenix Photo Recovery is a software that recovers videos, audios and photos in 3-simple steps, select media, start scan, and recover required files. Compatible with Mac OS X 10.6, 10.5, 10.4, and 10.3.9, this Mac photo recovery software is quite user-friendly, and has a context-sensitive help manual.
How to Recover Accidentally Deleted Videos from Mac Machine

Ever since the first Mac machine entered the market, it has been a hit with all those who believe in the best of technology. A Mac owner os quite proud of his/her possession. Mac is the only choice of all those who can afford to pay for high-end technology. Its features do not need mentioning. And with every new launch, so many new features are added on. Be it their innovative additions or the eye-catching designs, Mac is quite unbeatable. A Mac user is in a better state of mind, beacuse Mac doesn't pop errors every now and then. But when it does, don't worry. Workarounds are also available. For example, while working on a Mac, if you accidentally delete a video file, even from the Trash, then you can perform Mac photo recovery, provided you don't opt for Secure Empty Trash.

Consider, you had worked endless on editing a video file, a couple of days ago, and have now been asked to submit it. Happy with all your hard work, you search for the file to mail it across. But somehow, you don't find the file. So, you look at other places to see if you have mistakenly saved the file elsewhere. But no! All your search yields no results. Now what? What to do?

Lost Your Music From iPod? Here is the Solution!
Since long, music has been known as the essence of life. The stereos, followed by the Walkmans, that gave way to Disc-mans, which were followed by music enabled in cell phones have all been replaced by the iPod. Today's generation is thriving on iPods. Whether it is the teenagers, or the growing up kids, they are all hooked to their music devices. The way iPods have revolutionized the world of music is commendable. And whats more, these tiny devices allow the users to keep their photos videos, podcasts, and much more. But that doesn't mean that this gadget has been free of all the troubles. It has its own set of problems to deal with, for example data loss. That is right, iPod, just line any other digital storage device, has its limitations and can lose its data very easily. But when problem comes, so does the solution. And that is why, iPod recovery is essential. If not,iPod recovery software too are easily available options in the market today.

Consider, you have an iPod shuffle that stops responding due to no reason. In such a situation, you may have to recover iPod by opting for following measures:

Move the Hold switch to the on and off position.
In case this doesn't work, press the Menu button along with the center wheel button for a few seconds until the Apple logo appears on your screen. This starts the iPod in maximum cases.

However, in case it doesn't appear,

Connect it to the PC and when the iTunes open, check and if needed update your iPod to the latest version.

After updating your iTunes application, check your iPod in the left pane of the iTunes Window, and check the summary tab.

This will inform you if your iPod needs software update or not.
In case not, you may choose the option of Restoring your iPod to the factory settings. This should certainly solve the problem that you are facing with your iPod.

Unfortunately, you will lose all the data that was saved in your iPod. And in case you had files that were critical, and irreplaceable, then you may have to opt for iPod data recovery software.
How to Recover Hard Drive Data When the ntfs.sys File is Missing in Windows

A hard drive is the primary storage device in the computer systems, which helps you to store valuable data. Apart for this, the important system files that are required to run the system are stored in the hard drive. Lot many times, these files get missing or damaged during an update, thereby disabling you from starting the computer. In such cases, you should try to copy these files from the CD of the operating system. If that does not solve the issue, then you should use a third-party hard drive data recovery software to recover the trapped data.

You can consider a situation where in you are unable to start your Windows XP Service Pack 2 system. The following error message is displayed on a black screen:

“Windows could not start because the following file is missing:

\system32\drivers\ntfs.sys”

Cause:

This problem can happen if you have performed the following steps:

You have installed Windows XP SP 2.
You have installed the Windows XP SP1 rollup.
Once you installed the Windows XP SP1 rollup, you also enabled hyper-threading, or have added a second processor to the system.

Resolution:

To resolve this problem, you should replace the necessary startup files using the Windows XP Setup CD. To do this, the following steps are required:

Insert the Windows XP Setup CD in the CD-ROM drive and start the computer.
Press R to enter the Recovery Console when the 'Welcome to Setup' screen appears.

At the Recovery Console command prompt, enter the following commands to copy the required files in your computer. Press ENTER after every command:

cd system32
ren ntkrnlpa.exe ntkrnlpa.old
ren ntoskrnl.exe ntoskrnl.old
cd "c:\windows\driver cache\i386"
expand sp2.cab -F:ntkrpamp.exe c:\windows\system32
expand sp2.cab -F:ntkrnlmp.exe c:\windows\system32
cd c:\windows\system32
ren ntkrpamp.exe ntkrnlpa.exe
ren ntkrnlmp.exe ntoskrnl.exe

Type 'exit' and press Enter to quit the Recovery Console.
Restart the computer.

If you are still facing similar error message after performing these steps, then you should look to reinstall the operating system. However, that would require taking the backup of the valuable data from the hard drive that can be done using a third-party hard drive recovery software. Such tools are read-only in nature that do not damage the existing files during the Windows recovery.

The most reliable hard drive recovery software that recovers lost, formatted, or deleted files from different types of storage devices is Stellar Phoenix Windows Data Recovery.
Which is the Best Hard Disk Data Recovery Software?

Hard disks are relatively simple storage devices, broadly organized into data storage areas and tables to store all the important information. Some parts of the hard disk are also dedicated to the operating system, and store procedures used to boot the system. However, hard disks are susceptible to logical corruption due to a variety of reasons, resulting in data getting lost or corrupted. In such situations one can either opt for recovery using backup, or using hard disk recovery software. It is the process of retrieving and restoring lost, deleted and inaccessible data.

Data Loss

In spite of the utmost care, data loss situations do occur. These situation happen due to a variety of reasons. Some of these reasons are:
Human error – accidental deletion, formatting of the drive
Power surges
Network problems
Interrupted power supply
Viruses
Sabotage

What do you do when your data is inaccessible, lost or deleted?

1)The first thing would be to check that you haven’t accidentally moved the data to a different folder or accidentally deleted it. The former can be resolved by using the Search utility to find the file in your disk. The latter can be checked by examining the recycle bin.

2)Another thing that a person can always rely upon is the latest backup. But if the backup is not up to date, or doesn't exist, then it becomes difficult for a person to recover complete data.

3)Try inbuilt programs such as Scandisk and Chkdisk. If the file data has been written to a bad sector, these programs salvage whatever part of the data is still readable and store it to a clean sector. They also mark the bad sector as unusable, minimizing the chances of further loss.

The safest is to stop using the system and extract all the inaccessible data using a good data recovery tool. A good third-party partition recovery tools can ensure that your data is safely recovered in just a few mouse clicks. Designed to perform customized recovery, these tools are an aid to any individual.

Stellar Phoenix Windows Data Recovery is a useful utility that recovers deleted business critical files, spreadsheets, presentations, databases, and more. It also recovers corrupt images, audios, video files, and other multimedia files. The utility works well with Memory cards, various external drives and hard disks. It recovers lost, deleted and formatted data from NTFS, FAT and exFAT based systems.
Windows Partition Loss Due to Missing System Files and Bad Boot Record

Are you unable to boot your Microsoft Windows XP SP2 computer? Are the system files from your Windows XP hard drive missing? This behavior of Windows operating system renders your computer unbootable and unresponsive. In such circumstances, you can not access your system or the data stored in the hard drive. It leads to critical data loss situations and calls for FAT Recovery to get your valuable data back.

In a practical scenario, you may come across the below error message when you start your Microsoft Windows XP Service Pack 2 computer:

“Windows could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt.
Windows root\system32\hal.dll.
Please re-install a copy of the above file.”

After the above error message, boot process is halted. The same issue occurs everytime you reboot the system.

Cause

You may encounter this problem if any of the below conditions are true:

The partition or boot record of your Windows computer is bad.
Disk corruption or file system corruption has damaged the Hal.dll file, the Ntoskrnl.exe file, or primary boot record of Windows XP.
The Ntoskrnl.exe and the Hal.dll files are mismatched.

All the above problems lead to data loss and need FAT Data Recovery to get sorted.

Resolution

The solution of the above problem may vary, depending upon the cause of the problem:

To fix bad partition or boot record problem, repair boot record using fixmbr command from Microsoft Windows XP Recovery Console. It helps you to write a new boot record on system partition.

Start your computer in Microsoft Windows XP Recovery Console and run chkdsk /r command.

Boot your computer using Microsoft Windows XP bootable CD and start Recovery Console. Use Bootcfg.exe utility for rebuilding Boot.ini file.

However, if none of the above methods work, you need to format the hard drive and reinstall Windows XP operating system. Although, it resolves all your problems, it also removes the files, directories, hard drive partitions, and installed applications.

To retrieve lost data in such cases, FAT Recovery software come to your rescue. Most of these applications are specifically designed to systematically scan entire Windows hard drive and retrieve lost contents.

Stellar Phoenix FAT Data Recovery is an advanced and comprehensive tool to ensure absolute recovery of your valuable data. This software ensures safe and easy FAT partition Recovery owing to its read-only conduct and self-explanatory user interface. It is a non-destructive recovery software that recovers data from FAT32, VFAT, FAT16, and FAT12 file system partitions.

In the modern times, the advent of digital cameras has really helped the commoner to have more say in clicking the photographs unlike earlier times when only the professional photographers used to have the cameras. The digital camera has different various pluses against the conventional analog camera such as it uses memory cards that provide larger storage space. Because of this, you can have huge numbers of images at a certain point of time. Moreover, you do not need to get the photos developed as you can always watch them on your computer, mobile phones, etc and share among your friends. However, being a mechanical tool, the memory cards are prone to corruption under several situations, thereby making the card inaccessible. If you are unable to recover the photos, then you should take the services of a third-party picture recovery software to do the needful.

There could be different reasons that may delete the photos from the memory card or make the memory card inaccessible. Some of these reasons are:

If you accidentally delete the photos from the memory card
If you pull out the memory card while the camera is on
If you format the memory card that contains photos
If you switch off the camera while some data transfer to the memory card is taking place
If the memory card is experiencing file system corruption

Resolution:

If you have faced either of the aforementioned cases and want to retrieve the inaccessible or deleted photos, then check the computer hard drive if you have a backup of the lost photos.

If you do not have the backup of the photos, then you should use a third-party photo recovery software to recover the photos. These read-only card recovery utilities do not overwrite the existing photos and other multimedia files while recovering them.

The most dependable digital photo recovery software that recovers lost or deleted photos from kinds of digital cameras, is Stellar Phoenix Mac Photo Recovery.
Data Recovery MAC from Mac Hard Drive Partitions

MAC Disk Utility is a data recovery tool created on the hard disk-related activities to perform, and it comes with Mac OS X. The functions used to mount the hard disk, checking the integrity of your Mac computer hard disk, floppy disk formatting and partitioning, or disable journaling and the development of floppy disks. Mac Disk Utility is undoubtedly a useful tool, but in some versions of Mac OS X, it can not function properly.

Only in Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard, Disk Utility shows unexpected behavior when attempting to alter or remove formatting a hard disk volume. This problem might lead to Mac data recovery solutions. If you wish to correct or delete a format Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard volume testing, you have the following error message: "File system formatter failed" This problem typically occurs when you try to check a specific Mac OS X changing device. The problem may be because:

This problem could be incompatible with Mac OS X Leopard Disk Utility with splitting scheme was used by Leopard. If partition table is damaged, Disk Utility will not change or format the Mac OS X volume.

The whole behavior of Mac OS X makes your hard disk volumes and critical data are available, and leads to severe data loss situations. This situation requires you to make Mac Recovery.

Solution

Around this problem, Mac OS X re-partitioned hard disk with Disk Utility. For partitioning a hard disk with Disk Utility, that the given steps: open

Disk Utility, select the drive you want to partition and the partition tab. From the drop-down list, choose the number of partitions. The Options button, select partition type. Desired size of the partition and click Partition.

Although this set of techniques are able to find the best solution of this problem, but repartitioning erases all hard disk volumes and data stored on them. In such cases, you perform data recovery mac for all your important data back. Data Recovery is possible with the help of third party mac data recovery software.
Kernel Vulnerabilities and Data Loss in Ubuntu Linux

Kernel is the key component of Linux operating system, which works as a bridge between applications and data processing performed at hardware level. Its responsibilities include managing resources of the system (communication between hardware components and hardware). The Linux kernel provides lowest-level abstraction for the resources, which must be controlled by applications, to carry out their operations. However, in case of kernel panic or kernel corruption, Linux may not boot properly. In such circumstances, you can not access data from Linux hard drive and come across data loss situations. At this point, Linux Data Recovery becomes need of the hour to get your data back.

What is Kernel Panic or Kernel Vulnerabilities?

In Linux operating system, kernel panic is a step taken by the operating system after detecting internal fatal error by which it can not recover safely. The Linux kernel routines, which handle panics, are usually designed so as to output an error to console, wait for system reboot, or initiate the automatic system reboot. Kernel panic may occur due to various reasons, such as faulty kernel, missing/damaged Linux data structures, operating system malfunction, file system corruption, and missing system files.

Vulnerability in Ubuntu Linux:

In Ubuntu 5.10 operating system, there is a flaw in the counting of module reference for netfilter's loadable protocol modules. By doing specific socket operations, local attacker can exploit it to crash Linux kernel.

You may notice a race condition in add_key(), keyctl(), and request_key() functions. By changing the length of the string arguments, a local attacker can either read random parts of Linux kernel memory or crash Linux kernel.

Kernel crash may also crash your Linux computer and may make it unbootable. In such cases, the system can not find a healthy kernel to load the boot files into memory and start the operating system boot process.

In order to access your valuable data in such circumstances, you need to carry out Linux Recovery by resolving this issue. You can fix this issue by formatting the hard drive and reinstalling the operating system.

However, formatting removes all the data from hard drive and causes further data loss. To recover lost data, Data Recovery Linux is required. It is best possible using powerful third-party Linux Data Recovery applications. They work in all cases of logical data loss and recover your valuable data in safe and easy manner.

Stellar Phoenix Linux Data Recovery is the most prominent solution to ensure absolute recovery of lost data. The software supports all major distributions of Linux operating system, including Ubuntu, Red Hat, SUSE, Fedora, and Debian. It recovers data from Ext4, Ext3, Ext2, FAT32, FAT16, and FAT12 file system volumes.

An error message while starting Windows Server 2003 system, halts the boot process and makes hard drive data inaccessible. A boot error message may appear owing to various reasons, the most common being system file corruption. Corruption of even a single system file (required at the time of boot process) halts the entire boot process. Just like other files, system files too are prone to corruption. And the cause of corruption can be virus attack, operating system damage, and human mistakes. To overcome system file corruption, a Windows user can format the system and restore data from an updated backup. However, in case no backup is available, a user needs to opt for a commercial partition recovery software.

For detailed explanation of the above problem, consider the below error message that appears when you try to boot your Windows Server 2003 machine:

“STOP: c000021a {Fatal System Error}
The Windows Logon Process system process terminated unexpectedly with a status of 0xc0000034 (0x00000000 0x0000000)
The system has been shutdown.”
(0x00000000 0x0000000) parameters are specific to system's configuration.

After the above error message pops up, the booting process stops, rendering to inaccessibility of the hard drive data.

Cause:

The above error message appears when the Windows NT kernel detects that Winlogon.exe and Csrss.exe processes have stopped. Winlogon.exe and Csrss.exe, are two very important system files that are required to boot system. This primarily occurs due to:

Installation of mismatched system files
Failed installation of Service Pack
Installation of incompatible third-party program
Corruption of these two files

Resolution:

To get past above boot error message and to access the data, you will need to:

1.Select 'Last Known Good Configuration' option to boot your system.
2.If the command does not work, then re-install Windows Server 2003 on your system.

Although re-installation allows you to overcome the above boot error message, it also deletes data from your hard drive. To recover data lost due to formatting, you need to use an effective third-party Partition Recovery application. Such Partition Recovery tools recover all formatted data from almost all kinds of formatted hard drives, including IDE, EIDE, etc.
First, Read This When Upgrading from XP home Edition to Professional?

Windows XP, one of the most popular operating system, comes in Home edition and Professional edition. Users have the option to choose the edition they want. But, laptops come preloaded with the Windows edition which the computer manufacturers choose to install. However, users can always install another edition of Windows. But what if all the data that had been stored on your hard drive gets lost when you change the edition of your favorite Windows operating system. Well, you will have to opt for Windows Data Recovery using the most updated backup. But if the backup is unavailable, don't worry, you can use partition recovery software.

Consider you buy a new laptop that came pre-installed with Windows XP Home Edition. After a few months, you find it necessary to upgrade the operating system with the retail version of Windows XP professional. After successful upgrade, when you start working on your system, you find that the Start Menu shortcuts are unavailable. What's more, all the files in the Shared Documents folder are missing. Further, the default program templates and setting stored in the Default and All users folder too are not there. And you wonder, what could possibly be wrong?

While upgrading all these files have been deleted by the upgrade wizard.

Technical Specifications

There is a file in the System32 folder of the Windows XP computer. This file was created by the computer manufacturer's Out-of-box Experience Wizard that runs immediately after starting any computer that was pre-installed with Windows XP. Actually this file should only be used by GUI-mode setup when the setup restarts. After creation of this file by the wizard, when upgrade is performed by the setup, it checks this file and analyzes that it needs to restart the setup as well. Owing to this, it deletes the above mentioned files.

Resolution:

Sorting this problem is easy with the backups in place. Just restore the missing data and program shortcuts. However, if you do not have a backup, then it is a cause of concern, as you will need to look for Windows recovery.

Stellar Phoenix Windows Data Recovery is a robust software for recovering lost , deleted or formatted files from any storage media, including, USB flash drives, external hard drives, memory cards, and so on.
Prevent Data Loss When Vista System Reloads Incessantly After Installing XP

Amongst the various versions of Windows, the most used ones are Windows XP and Windows Vista. Despite the fact that Vista was a successor to XP, there are a number of differences that exist between the two. Owing to this, at times, users face a lot of problem. And, in worst situations, they even end up losing their vital data. In such situations, they have no option but to opt for Windows data recovery.

Consider, you have a Windows Vista installed computer, and you use it to partition your hard disk drive. You install XP on another partition. The Setup shows with the text-mode part that the process has successfully been completed. But, on trying to restart the computer, it cannot be done successfully to enter the graphical mode of the setup process, and you find yourself stuck with the following message:

'Error loading operating system'

On trying to use sysprep image of XP professional, you'll find that the system will restart incessantly
after the first restart operation. On pressing F8 and disabling "automatic restart", you may get a Stop error message:

Stop: 0x000000ED (0X81F85678, 0xC000014F,0x00000000,0x00000000)
Unmountable_boot_volume

Reason:

When a partition is created, after the first partition the following free space is created at the start of the disk. Depending on how the border of this partition is constructed, the free space size is calculated. The size of the partition varies depending on how it was created. When partition is created in XP, the free space equals a cylinder, and in Vista, it varies on the basis of registry settings. Due to this, when a user partitions hard disk using Vista, and then installs XP without using XP to repartition the disk, though the text-mode part of XP setup completes, the computer refuses to start, and stops responding. And you lose all your data, unless you opt for ways to recover partition.

How to Prevent:

The BIOS configuration has an 'automatic disk translation' feature that a user should disable before partitioning the hard drive.

You can make certain changes in the registry directly, before you partition hard disk in Vista, to ensure that the partitions are created using XP procedure. But this should be done by advanced users.

But these steps can help before the problem has occurred. If you have encountered this situation already, then your only hope is formatting of the hard drive, followed by reinstallation of the operating system. This needs to be followed by Windows data recovery using backup.

If backup is unavailable, then you have to opt for Partition Recovery software. These are third-party tools that deploy complex recovery algorithms to recover partition and extract data.

Stellar Phoenix Windows Data Recovery can help you resolve this problem. Compatible with Windows 7, Vista, 2003, XP and 2000, this Partition Recovery software is a must have for all your recovery needs.
