“I just bought a Dell notebook with Windows 8. I did a basic setup. However, I forgot the password (did not write it down). Now I am trying to log in but of course it’s locked. I think I remembers the microsoft account id but when I try to reset password on the microsoft website through another computer, they keep telling me that it’s not my password and they can’t recognize my account. How can I either recover the password or restore, (recover?) the OS system to factory settings? I called microsoft and they told me that they could not break passwords.
