I'm what is known as a bank rate chaser. I move from bank to bank looking for great cd rates and savings account specials. I keep an eye out for savings interest rate specials, checking account bonuses, and the best cd rates. When banks offer high rates they usually attract a lot of lifelong customers, but not me. If they can keep up with the competitive rates, I'll stay. If not, I'm gone. The result is I always earn great returns on my savings. It takes a lot of time and commitment to be a rate chaser, but it's worth it if you have enough money. If you have a big enough savings account you might want to consider converting to the dark side :)
