How to Recover Lost Windows Partitions After Boot Partition Corruption?

Is your Windows boot or system partition damaged? Is your system refusing to boot with some strange error messages? This behavior may occur due to corrupt, missing, or inaccessible boot files or Windows system files. In such circumstances, Microsoft Windows computer can not boot and thus does not let you log into the system or to access hard drive partitions. It results in critical partition loss situations and needs Partition Recovery, in case you do not have a complete backup in place.

When you boot your Microsoft Windows computer, you may come across the below error message if your boot or system volume is damaged (here second parameter is the 0xC0000032 DISK_CORRUPTION_ERROR): “Stop 0x0000007B (0x00000000, 0xC0000032, 0x00000000, 0x00000000) Inaccessible_boot_device”

When you attempt to install Microsoft Windows 2000 operating system on an NTFS file system volume, you face the below error message: “Windows 2000 recognizes the partition you selected, but the partition is unformatted or damaged. To install Windows 2000 on this partition, setup must reformat it.”

When you boot your system to Microsoft Windows 2000 Recovery Console and attempt to use “dir” command to see the contents of hard drive volume, you may get the below error message:

“Directory of F:\ An error occurred during directory enumeration.” When you apply ChkDsk utility on the Windows partition, the process completes successfully, but it can not detect any error, and also does not make any corrections. Although, ChkDsk does not detect any error, you can not access the volume or boot from it. The errors are not detected, even if you run Recovery Console command “chkdsk volume label: /p.”

Root of the problem This behavior occurs because NTFS file system volume has damaged or invalid record in either $LogFile or $UsnJrnl file. These are critical files used by NTFS internally. ChkDsk can't check integrity of these files.

Resolution Format your Windows hard drive and reinstall operating system to fix this problem. However, this solution removes all hard drive partitions and creates need of Windows Partition Recovery.

You can quickly and effectively Recover Partition using advanced and powerful third-party Partition Recovery Software. These tools employ efficient scanning mechanisms to methodically scan entire hard drive and retrieve all lost, missing, corruption, or inaccessible Windows partitions.

Stellar Phoenix Windows Data Recovery is a safe and easy to use application that recovers lost Windows partitions in all cases of partition loss. The software retrieves FAT16, FAT32, VFAT, NTFS, and NTFS5 file system partitions. It is designed for Microsoft Windows 7, Vista, 2003, XP, and 2000.
