Incorrectly Modifying the Partitioning Scheme Cause Partition Loss in Windows

Microsoft Windows operating system enables you to create the Swap Files on your Windows hard drive. Swap file is the hard disk space, which is used by Windows operating system as a virtual memory extension for the RAM (real memory) of your computer. This mechanism improves the performance of your Windows computer. The swap files can be organized as contiguous disk space, thus your system needs less Input/Output operations for reading or writing entire file. However, in some situations, you may face critical problems of partition corruption or partition loss while creating the swap files. This behavior leads to significant partition loss situations and require partition recovery to be fixed.

As an practical example of this problem in Microsoft Windows operating system, you may come across the below error message when you try to create a swap file:

“The partitioning scheme used on your hard disk prevents the creation of a permanent swap file.”

The above error message prevents you from creating the swap files. The problem occurs even if your using Virtual Memory dialog box when you install Microsoft Windows or 386 Enhanced alternatives in the Control Panel to create the swap files.

Root of the issue:

The above problem may take place due to any of the below reasons:

A Windows partition manager Un-initialized files of the partition table A virus or any other malicious program Microsoft Windows operating system is quite cautious about the type of hard drive, when it creates permanent swap files. If you modify the Windows hard drive improperly, which is formatted through a special software, you may face serious data loss and disk error problems. To prevent data loss issues, Windows insures that correct format of the hard drive is recognized.

If you modify the Windows hard drive incorrectly, serious partition loss situations occur. Partition loss mostly occurs if:

Your system is dual-boot and both OS's are using varying partition schemes. Your system has deadly viruses. In both cases, you lose your hard drive partitions and need to recover partition using powerful third-party applications.

The partition recovery software helps you to methodically scan entire hard drive and extract all lost partitions from it. The Windows partition recovery tools has interactive and rich graphical user interface to ensure quick and easy recovery in all partition loss situations.

Stellar Phoenix Windows Data Recovery software safely recovers lost, deleted, corrupted, or missing Windows hard drive partitions. The software is designed for Microsoft Windows 7, Vista, 2003, XP, and 2000. It salvages NTFS5, NTFS, FAT32, VFAT, FAT16, and FAT12 file system partitions.
